Dr. Elie Islam is a graduate of the University of Montreal where she received a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree in 2017. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Islam is multilingual, being fluent in French, English, Bengali and Hindi. After graduating, she practiced at multiples cities all around Quebec for 4 years before deciding to relocate to New York City. Passionate about improving the eye health and quality of life for her patients, she makes sure to always provide the highest level of care. When she’s not at work, Dr. Islam enjoys traveling, watching movies, and working out.
Dr. Li received her Bachelor of Medicine degree from Weifang Medical College, China. She then earned a Master of Science on Ocular pathology from Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-Sen University, China. She received the doctorate of optometry degree from New England College of Optometry. During which she trained at Dimock Community Health Center, Eyecare Care Associates in Connecticut, University of Maryland Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Hudson Valley VA Medical Center.
Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Li worked as an optometrist at a private practice and also in LensCrafers, where she performed routine eye exams, prescribed glasses and contact lens.
Dr. Li focuses on routine eye care, prescribes glasses and contact lens. She also manages ocular diseases, including dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
